Awful!!! I was expecting a great meal. I have to say that was the worst pot roast I have ever eaten. I think they used Alpo as the gravy. Pasta was over cooked chicken under cooked. Service was not the best either. She brought our salads with the meal, not before. I will never go again. I expected so much more. I felt robbed for having to pay for it!!

The patio was awesome, food was great, I'm so glad we gave this place a try.

We hàve been there many times,we have always had good service and good food. We ate there yesterday and the service was not very good. My wife got Greek salad when it came it had no lettuce when we asked why They said you have special order green, and that Greek salads never comes with lettuce. We ask for the manager and we asked for the manager and she didn't care if we had good service or if our food was good or not. Also they stop giving military discounts

Family friendly local mom and pop restaurant. A staple of Delaware for more than a hundred and fifty years with an excellent outdoor patio and happy hour specials.

This place is one of the best in Delaware Ohio. You won't be disappointed. It's only 4 stars because it's not the overwhelmingly highest quality cuisine, but it is still very good and I go there whenever I am in town.

The food was fantastic but it took so long to get our food, even though we were the only ones in there. I had their homemade "famous" chicken salad that I could of ate 2 tons of. I also got a portabella mushroom topped with crab and shrimp au gratin. The menu had a lot of good choices and would totally go back.

Great atmosphere and food and wonderful service! We had the Bun burger and it was very good. The view through the glass doors of the street scenes was awesome.

The patio is amazingly sheltered but wait there's more! I hope your sitting down because they also have absolutely free bread with not one but two kinds of butter. Staff is also friendly. When you are done picking your jaw up off the ground you should head this way.

Buns Restaurant has been in Delaware, Ohio for 100 years. A big favorite for the folks who attend the “Little Brown Jug” horse races. And, the Delaware State Fair.However, the restaurant burnt to the ground about 12 years ago. And, for 2,years, all that remained was the expanse of the front wall. In one picture, I have shown the singed brick from the original roofline. This portion is now an outside patio that adjoins the outside bar and seating in a venue with 7 pull-down garage-style doors.The $8.00 Buns Burger with fries is always a town-favorite. Come and explore the quaint shops in downtown Delaware - the County Seat of the fastest, and 4th wealthiest counties in Ohio!

Good ole comfort food! Delicious! If you're there on a Thursday or Friday ask for Annette. She's like hanging with a friend. She loves the city and has so many great recommendations. Great service and a wonderful person! Make sure to ask to for Annette!

Stopped in to have lunch on Sunday they were very busy. The service was not very good and the food was HORRIBLE ! I ordered the liver and onions and what they served me was not fit to eat , It was burnt so bad that it was actually black and i could barely cut it with a steak knife . There were two tiny pieces of onion and two strips of burnt bacon . It was disgusting . The people in the next booth to us sent back their order because it was cold . NEVER AGAIN !

Great service! Will definitely be coming back. Big fan of the gyro platter. Reminds me of a gyroscope. 10/10 would recommend. I enjoyed watching the guy throw his cheeseburger on the floor. That was so much fun!!!!!! The other girl dropping the plates was a nice twist too. Quality entertainment!! 👌😎

We were driving through Delaware and saw the oddly placed yet nostalgic sign above the street and felt compelled to try the place out. The service was fine. The food was fine. We tried the bun burgers as suggested. They were good. We have had better, but for the price we can't complain. It was just ok. Nothing in particular to bring us back anytime​ soon. We would probably try one of the other interesting looking restaurants next time we are out that way. Overall though, it is good. Not as interesting as their sign.

Went here to meet someone, who never showed up! Waitress was nice and atmosphere was great. Sat in the enclosed patio area, which offers a view of the outside. Ordered the Spinach Salad to go and it came with a delicious bread roll with butter. I've heard Bun's prices were a little high but paid $7.49 for the salad, which isn't bad. Ingredients were fresh. The lunch crowd was good. Restaurant wasn't really crowded, which made it kind nice. I did see a bar. The restaurant offers front and back dining. Good atmosphere, nice music playing throughout, centrally located downtown and a beautiful day made this visit to Bun's a great experience. Thank you!

The indoor/outdoor bar is great. This is a fun place for a group of friends or the family. Good food at a surprisingly reasonable price. Would and have already recommended! Looking forward to returning!

Horrible experience. We were seated outside and waited 15 minutes without seeing a server. We eventually just left bc our kids were hungry and there was no end in sight. We’re hoping for a fun night out with the family and ended up with a car full of fussy, hungry kids and dinner from Wendy’s.

There is a nice variety of items on the menu. The special, coconut chicken, was very good. There were 5 of us, and the others didn't seem to have any issues, but the waitress had some trouble getting my order correct. I asked for water with lemon; she started to bring iced tea but then thought that was wrong. After confirming my drink order, she brought the water but I had to ask again for the lemon. She brought the wrong dressing for my salad, but I ate it anyway and it was good. I asked to substitute the rice for sweet potato fries. My plate arrived with rice under the chicken, which I didn't see immediately, but there were no fries. When I said something to her about it, she told me I got the salad. I said I thought the meal came with 2 sides and I ordered the sweet potato fries. She apologized and brought the fries. Overall, I would try this place again.

The building is very interesting, nice and caring staff. I had the bun burger done medium rare and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely make the trip to come back.

We enjoyed our meal in the indoor/outdoor bar. Great place to sit on a beautiful day. The food was good, I had the ham loaf and am anxious to try the chicken parm. My wife liked her stuffed mushroom. Service was good. Will return to enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere!

Great options and the service can't be beat. One of my favorite restaurants in the country. Friendly faces and cold beer!

Buns opened when Abraham Lincoln was president - 1865 and is still serving out great food at affordable prices. I had the chicken stir fry which was excellent. The staff was very friendly and gave us historical information on the 157 year old restaurant. Prices were very reasonable. They also have some very good bakery related recipes including chocolate cake which is excellent!

This restaurant was great! We sat outside in the evening and the atmosphere was perfect! Food was awesome and we also had a great server. I highly recommend this place.

I had the gyro platter. Tons of food for the price and a decent gyro. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals and service was on top of it. Family friendly so feel free to bring the kiddos.

Haven't been here for a bit. Wanted to treat my girlfriend to a nice dinner.First of all, the waitress talked so fast that I had a hard time understanding her.Our salads were brought and she went right in the kitchen and brought out our entrées.I don't understand why I can't finish my salad before I get my entree.I said something to her and she just said sorry.We ordered a carrot cake. Told her it was dry. Again she said, sorry.Wonder if she knows where her paycheck comes from, my girlfriend was leaving the tip and was going to leave 20%, but I told her she shouldn't encourage bad service, she left just a couple bucks.We talked about it and we agreed it just was a reflection of the management. Entrée and salad was very good.

The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is great! The patio is awesome. There's a good base level of sound which is nice for us parents with children prone to getting a little noisy.

I liked the service and the food was good too. Maybe it's me but I prefer to be asked how my food tastes 1 time after I start eating. Too much attention is a thing for me at least. I would recommend eating here though. We never ran out of water or tea and the waitress was there to make sure of that.

My family was visiting and the food was terrible and over priced for what you got. The server was rude, trying to get us to buy more than what we wanted. I will NEVER go back.

Nice place with great service. Menu has lots of options. Today was rainy and cool so grilled cheese and tomato basil soup sounded perfect. Soup was very good, creamy but also with chunks of real tomato. Grilled cheese was Club Style with three pieces of bread. Wish it could have been a little more generous with the cheese. Started with a wedge salad, but thankfully I asked and they had a small dinner size version rather than the plate size version on the menu... It was huge! Dressing tasted homemade and was pretty tasty. My friend had the open-faced turkey sandwich which he said was very good as well.

First time visiting this restaurant. Ordered muscles for my appetizer and they were delicious. The two different baked breads were yummy. Decided to try one of their specials of the day which was prime rib at $22 price. Ordered the garlic smashed potatoes as my side. Was totally underwhelmed with both. Wasn't cooked as ordered, not a good cut of meat, very salty,and potatoes were totally dried out. Our server brought drinks then forgot to come back to get our order for 20 minutes and it wasn't busy during the time there. After she realized her error she was very attentive. Probably won't try again.

If you come here stick to homestyle food. My order of rare prime rib had NO pink & yet waitress it was rare. Taste was adequate but too salty. Ordered the vegetable of the day , zucchini, but when order finally arrived, waitress said that it was changed to green beans & brought them without asking if I wanted that. I like green beans but not overcooked & possibly out of a can or at best frozen. Delaware has many other options luckily. I would suggest going elsewhere.

First time at Bun's Restaurant and I had a positive experience. I decided to try the hamloaf and it was pretty good, along with sweet potato fries. Everything seemed reasonably priced, however I'm not sure if anything changes at dinner time. The inside is large enough that would easily allow a large group with kids without an issue.One thing I will mention that although it was pretty empty, it took awhile between visits from the waitress. I feel with a larger group this wouldn't be noticed as much, but just something worth mentioning.I will definitely be back and hopefully with the family next time!

My husband and I have lived in Delaware for more than a year now and have heard about Bun's since before that. We finally tried it and were disappointed. Nothing was truly terrible, but nothing was all that impressive either. Everything was "ok." I had the burger and fries, both of which were not very hot and lacked seasoning. I asked for the burger medium, and it came well done, and the bacon was rubbery. Frankly, we can make better at home. My husband had the fish and chips, which seemed like anything that could be bought from the freezer section at the store. The fish wasn't flakey, and the potato wedges lacked seasoning. The service wasn't great, but we had what we needed, and the server did check in a few times. We are not likely to visit this restaurant again and wouldn't recommend it, mostly because there are better options nearby for the same price (or better).

First time here for me. Our server Tori was awesome and the food was delicious. Definitely will be back.

Vacelli owns this restaurant and we just love how he cooks the food is always delicious and the wait staff so friendly and on top of it. They love kids as well

Nearly everything at Bun's is made from scratch. It's fresh and delicious. I can definitely recommend the spinach salad with salmon.

Buns is a good place to eat, reasonable prices and good service. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The owner Vasily has done a great job over the years. I've have lunch there with friends many times. It's always good every time.

Great place to stop and grab lunch. The only thing I didn’t like was that the mashed potatoes were way too salty! The mozzarella sticks were amazing! And so was the gyro!

Bun's is a true Delaware icon, and their commitment to downtown Delaware is a part of the great revitalization that is happening here. They serve good food, have an awesome patio, and are always friendly.

We sat in the open patio area. We arrived in the afternoon so not busy at all. The waitress was very nice and friendly. She answered our questions very well. The food was very good! I will definitely return to Bun's!

Food was fantastic. We sat inside this time because it was easy to social distance inside rather than outside where they were quite a bit busier. Staff was great and food was prompt and delicious.
